Dominican Bridge Launches in Cabarete

A relaxed night with the people who also chose the DR.

Saturday, May 23, 2026 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Cabarete

What the night looks like

Santiago happened. Santo Domingo happened. Punta Cana happened. The north coast kept asking. May 23rd is the answer. And this one comes with a live painting performance by Guinness World Record artist Eric Waugh.

About Dominican Bridge

We are a community for people living in the Dominican Republic, or seriously planning to. We publish guides on the things nobody explains when you move here. Banking, residency, schools, healthcare, shipping a container, getting a license. We run in-person meetups across the island. Joining is free.

Who Shows Up

The room is mixed on purpose. Some people grew up abroad and came back. Some moved here for family, work, or a slower pace. Some are remote workers, some run businesses, some are retired, some are raising kids and trying to figure out school runs and pediatricians. Some have been here twenty years, some landed last month. Some are still deciding and doing their homework.

What everyone has in common is that they chose the DR and want to meet more people who did the same.

What the Night Looks Like

A relaxed evening at Ultra Infinity, who is opening the space exclusively for our community that night. Roughly 75 people, three hours, doors at 7pm and we wind down by 10pm. No agenda, no name tags, no forced mingling. You show up, grab a drink at the bar, and start talking. Some people stay an hour, others close the place down. Bring a friend or come alone. Both work.

What You Will Walk Away With

A few phone numbers worth keeping. The name of a restaurant nobody told you about. A contact for a contractor, a pediatrician, a real estate broker, a coworking spot. Whatever you have been quietly searching for. And the kind of conversation that, months from now, is the reason you remember the night.

About the Ticket

The 2,000 DOP cover pays for the venue, the staff, and putting the night together properly. It is not a markup and it is not exclusivity. It is what the evening costs to run. It also means everyone in the room chose to be there, which makes for a better conversation than a free mixer ever does. Drinks and food are available at the bar and are not included.

Good to Know

  • Casual dress. Beach-style is fine.
  • Doors at 7pm. We wrap by 10pm. Come whenever works.
  • Drinks and food at the bar, on your own tab.
  • No parking at the venue. The public lot is a short walk away.
  • One ticket per person. Space is limited.

Where to Stay

Ultra Infinity is offering our guests a discount on the stay. Rooms start at $65 per night for a basic room including breakfast with the discount code Bridge. Call (809) 480-2698 to book.

See you there.

Immersive Live Painting Performance

One night. One canvas. Live in Cabarete.

Canadian artist and Guinness World Record recipient Eric Waugh is making Cabarete his home, and this Saturday he brings his internationally known live painting experience to Ultra Infinity for Dominican Bridge.

The painting will capture the spirit of Cabarete: beaches, nightlife, kite surfing, water sports, music, and the energy of people coming together from around the world.

Common Questions

Can I come alone?
Yes. Most people do. Introducing yourself to strangers is the default at these events, so you will not be the only one. If you feel awkward, start at the bar and say hi to whoever is standing next to you. That usually works.
Can I pay cash at the door?
No. We need a final guest count before the event, so payment is online only. You can pay by card through the checkout on this page, or by bank transfer (transferencia). Email support@dominicanbridge.com if you prefer transferencia.
What if I cannot make it?
Full refund if you cancel 7 or more days before the event. 50% refund if you cancel 3 to 6 days before. Within 48 hours of the event start there is no refund. Email support@dominicanbridge.com with your order code to request one.
Is there a dress code?
Casual. Wear what you are comfortable in.
What age range attends?
Genuinely mixed. You will see people in their late 20s building a life here, people in their 40s and 50s raising families or running businesses, and retirees who have been here for years. The spread is part of what makes the room interesting.
