Dominican Bridge Launches in Punta Cana

Saturday, April 25, 2026 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM Punta Cana (Exact venue sent after purchase)

What the night looks like

Dominican Bridge is heading to Punta Cana.

We have been running meetups in Santiago and Santo Domingo for a while, and the people who come keep asking when we will bring it east. This is the answer.

If you live in or around Punta Cana and you want to meet other people who actually live here, this is the night for it.

Why This One

Living in Punta Cana has an obvious problem. Most of the people around you are on vacation. The beach is full of strangers passing through. Half the restaurants cater to tourists who fly home Tuesday. The person you had a great conversation with at dinner is gone before the week ends.

Finding a real community here takes work. Everyone is friendly, but plenty of them are leaving in three days. The people who actually live here, the ones with a house, a routine, a favorite coffee spot, are harder to find. They are busy. They have their own circles.

Dominican Bridge exists because we got tired of that same problem in Santiago and Santo Domingo. We built it so people who chose this country could find each other without relying on luck.

Who Comes to These

The group is genuinely mixed. You will meet:

  • Returning Dominicans who grew up abroad and moved back
  • International residents from the US, Canada, Europe, and Latin America who relocated for family, work, or a slower pace of life
  • Remote workers running their jobs from the coast
  • Business owners running things locally
  • Retirees who picked the DR for the weather, the cost of living, or the pace
  • Parents raising kids here and figuring out schools, activities, and playdates
  • Couples who made the move together
  • People who moved solo and are still building their circle
  • Recent arrivals who got here last month
  • Long-timers who have been here five, ten, twenty years
  • Visitors seriously thinking about the move and doing their homework

What everyone has in common is they chose the DR and they want to know more people who did the same.

What the Night Looks Like

A relaxed evening in Punta Cana. You show up when you can, grab a drink at the bar, and start talking. There is no agenda and nobody will hand you a name tag. Conversation happens on its own because everyone in the room wants to be there.

Some people stay for an hour. Others close the place down. Bring a friend or come alone, both work.

What You Walk Away With

A handful of phone numbers. Usually a WhatsApp invite or two. The name of a restaurant nobody told you about. Maybe a contact for a contractor, a pediatrician, a tennis club, a church, a real estate broker, or a coworking space. Maybe just one person who understands what you are going through because they went through it last year.

Building community in a new place takes time. It almost always starts with one good conversation at one event.

About Dominican Bridge

We are a community for people who live in the Dominican Republic or are planning to. We publish guides on the things nobody explains to you when you move here. Banking, residency, healthcare, schools, buying a car, shipping a container. We run events in Santiago and Santo Domingo, and now Punta Cana. We have a private WhatsApp group and a newsletter that goes out when we have something worth saying.

Joining the community is free. Showing up is the only thing we ask.

Good to Know

  • The exact venue and address are sent to you by email after you buy your ticket.

Common Questions

Can I come alone?
Yes. Most people do. Introducing yourself to strangers is the default at these events, so you will not be the only one. If you feel awkward, start at the bar and say hi to whoever is standing next to you. That usually works.
Can I pay cash at the door?
No. We need a final guest count before the event, so payment is online only. You can pay by card through the checkout on this page, or by bank transfer (transferencia). Email support@dominicanbridge.com if you prefer transferencia.
What if I cannot make it?
Full refund if you cancel 7 or more days before the event. 50% refund if you cancel 3 to 6 days before. Within 48 hours of the event start there is no refund. Email support@dominicanbridge.com with your order code to request one.
Is there a dress code?
Casual. Wear what you are comfortable in.
What age range attends?
Genuinely mixed. You will see people in their late 20s building a life here, people in their 40s and 50s raising families or running businesses, and retirees who have been here for years. The spread is part of what makes the room interesting.
